Stringent quality control is achieved through well devised parameters at each and every stage from Raw material to Packaging

Quality of Commitments and Delivery Schedule

Immediately on receipt of the purchase order, the Confirmation Sheet (Confor) is prepared. Special attention is laid upon Inspection, Marking, Special instructions & Delivery Schedules.

Material Planning sheet is prepared for various raw materials and bought out items.
This sheet is prepared based on the exploded bill of materials required in view of the Lot size and required delivery schedule. Indents are issued to the suppliers and the schedules are closely monitored and reviewed on day-to-day basis.

In order to meet the urgent requirement from the valued customers, we maintain a healthy and comfortable inventory at our works.

Quality Checks on Raw Material

Strict checks are maintained for the incoming Raw Materials procured by us.
The Material Receipt Note (MRN) is prepared for all the incoming materials supplied by the well – established and approved vendors.

The physical and dimensional checks are carried out as per the supplier bills and Material Receipt Note.
The samples are drawn on random basis from the incoming materials. The pilot batch is prepared following the standard norms.
The routine and acceptance tests are carried out on the pilot batch/ test plaques.
The materials are accepted once they pass the routine and acceptance tests at our
Laboratory.
The accepted raw material is allocated the Quality Control (QC) Number. The raw materials are finally issued to the shop floor for production.

Quality Checks on Semi Finished / Finished goods

The production is carried with 4 Ms namely – man, machine, manufacturing process, money.
Our trained man power and well defined manufacturing process using the right machines convert the raw material into the finished products
Samples are drawn from the manufactured material for carrying out the routine tests in the laboratory.
The cross reference of the quality control number (QC number) is mentioned on the quality routine test format. The tests are thus compared with that of the raw material Once, the material passes the routine tests, an explicit batch Number is allocated to the manufactured lot.
The explicit Quality system and Batch number records permit the traceability of all the goods/components offered in our kits to the customer. The semi Finished/finished products are transferred to the stores.

Quality Checks on Finished Goods, Packing and Assembly

Cable Jointing Kits are packed in a carton comprising of number of items. These kits are used at the sites and assembled on the cable. Great amount of difficulty is faced if any of the item is missing in the kit and to arrange for the same at the most torrid and remote site conditions.

To ensure the trouble free jointing even at the most typical and remote site conditions we offer the complete joints and terminations to our valued customers and take care of the jointers’ requirements.

A great deal of effort has been made to standardise the kit contents. The kit contents are standardised irrespective of the nature of the customer whether the customer is an electrical utility or a private contractor/dealer.

Whether there is a pre-delivery inspection clause or no inspection involved in the purchase order, each kit is packed referring to the standard kit contents. Kit is accompanied with the packing slip carrying the signature of the packer and the quality control stamping of the quality in charge who is fully responsible for the Kit.

To ease the usage of the Kits at the site, each kit is provided with the Instruction Manual. The manual is duly elaborated and illustrated with the figures making them user friendly and can easily be understood even by not-so-educated jointers.

The components are clearly marked and identified by stickers and are in unison with the Instruction Manual.

The Kits are securely packed in the Carton Boxes. There is variety of the sizes, types of the kits depending on the type of cable insulation and the size of the cable.
The Kits are ergonomically and aesthetically packed to reach safely to the end user.

Total Quality Management System (TQMS)

VENUS cable Jointing Kits are tested as per the requirements of various National and International Standards. IS 692, IS 694, IS 7093, IS 7098, IS 13573, Din Standards, Engineering Recommendation, C – 81, VDE, IEC 502, IEEE-48, ESI 09-13

Our Kits & the Components have been successfully tested at CPRI, ERDA and other recognised laboratory. Various Type Tests have been carried out on our products as per Indian and international Standards.

We are in constant touch with our customers and provide the supports such as jointing and Installation services, conduct, organise and participate in the seminars and impart training to the field staff and the Jointers.

We take the customer feedback on regular basis. The Field Report Log book is maintained.

The difficulties/ problems if any are noted in the log Book. Based on such valuable feedback, improvements in the design and kit contents are discussed and carried out on merits.
